St Columb Minor village Summer Fayre success

St Columb Minor's village Summer Fayre bathed in sunshine and community spirit today.
Up to a thousand residents and visitors, young and old, friends and neighbours, came together to mark the longest day in style.
Newquay Zoo and Blue Reef aquarium brought some fun-loving animals along, while children also enjoyed face painting, soccer skills, bouncy castles and rides galore.
Thanks to everyone who came and enjoyed - we hope to see all again at the Christmas Market on Sunday 30th November.

Treviglas College sports pitch plans

A public consultation is taking place on June 19th regarding plans for Treviglas' sports pitch, which includes flood lighting.

We urge residents who have any concerns to attend this meeting so both the college and residents' needs can be met.

"You are invited to attend a further consultation with regards to the proposed 3g synthetic pitch on our (Treviglas Community) college site on Thursday 19th June 2014.

As part of our continued drive as an outstanding college, and to enhance the opportunities for all our students and the local community, Treviglas Community College is in the process of preparing a formal planning application for the construction of this facility.

This consultation will take place at Treviglas Community College, in partnership with Newquay Football Club, in the post 16 block from 6.30pm – 8.00pm and will include a presentation, question and answer session and a visit to the proposed site.

You are invited to attend and find out more about the proposal, have a look at the plans and ask any questions regarding this application."

Baby Joshua arrived

Those of you who saw me in the latter half of 2013 knew we were expecting "Baby Jesus" at the end of December.

Rob and I are delighted to announce that Joshua Timothy James Coumbe safely arrived a day before he was due, to a very impatient mother, on Friday 20th December.

St Columb Minor Christmas Market Sunday 1st December, Church Street

Time is flying and it's only 3 weeks on Sunday until St Columb Minor's inaugural Christmas Market.

The Market takes place on Sunday 1st December from 4-7pm in Church Street and will have stalls, refreshments, music, mulled wine, festive food, and of course, Father Christmas.

Please email jowoodjo@gmail.com if you would like to have a stall at the Christmas Market.

A road closure will be in place on this day at CHURCH STREET from the Leader Road junction to the Priory Road junction.

We've been very lucky to have the support of Blue School, who feature us in their November Newsletter. We also have ads in the Cornish Guardian and Love Christmas in Cornwall, which you can pick up across Cornwall from events and news stands.
